Ahh fall…even the word makes me want to cozy up with a hot cup of tea & a good book while I watch the rain fall over the changing leaves outside. Too bad I have no clean mugs, no books to read and a view of a construction site (sigh…). Still, I have been loving soaking up the fall season in every way I can and I want to share with you some of my fall favorites that really have been getting me in the mood.

The most perfect little fall display
Fall Layering
I absolutely love layering for fall. It is so easy to pair up a cozy dress with a vest and knit sweater. Throw on a scarf and you are set for those cooler days. It is especially helpful to have some thick tights on hand to transition dressers from warmer to colder temperatures.

(Many thanks to my lovely friend Lauren for these pictures. Check out her blog, Northern Chronicles.)
Music
Hands down my favorite album right now is 22, A Million by Bon Iver. This album is incredible (really, do I expect anything less from Bon Iver?!?). I have had it on constant replay for the last week.

On a quest to find the cutest café in Amsterdam.
Blog Posts
There have been so many blog posts I have been loving this fall season! My ultimate favorite has been Sara’s from Sara Laughed who tried every single fall treat and drink from Starbucks (yes, I being 100% serious) and rated them all.
I also have really enjoyed Abigail’s post from Living the Gray Life on subtle ways that you can decorate your room/apartment/house for fall. This is especially helpful if you are in a dorm room and feel like you can’t do much!
Lastly, this article by Carly on The College Prepster has got me dreaming of warm food this fall season.
Happy Things
My friend Lauren and I recently got matching friendship necklaces from Delft (Netherlands), the home of beautiful hand painted blue and white pottery. I love this necklace and just looking at it brings me happiness knowing I have a friend like Lauren in my life!
Another thing I absolutely love is mint tea made with FRESH mint leaves. It is refreshing, comforting and happy all at the same time and I am obsessed with it.

As long as the relationship lives in the heart, true friends never part ❤️
