I met John and Danica for their engagement session on a late Sunday afternoon in November…and in my favorite location ever! I fell in love with this spot, the Arizona Cactus Garden, the moment I accidentally stumbled upon it when Dani and I first moved to Palo Alto. This little desert oasis is the perfect backdrop year round for creative and romantic engagement portraits (and a beautiful place to walk and look at fun plants).
The love John and Danica share is so palpable when you are around them. They grin ear to ear when they look at eachother, it’s the sweetest! They met at the gym, and on their third anniversary, he proposed to her in front of her family (SO CUTE). And now, they are getting married this month in City Hall, another of my favorite Bay Area photo locations…talk about dream clients right here (love you guys!!!).
I have to mention, these two are SUCH troopers. The smoke from the devastating Camp Fire was bad in most of the Bay Area in California. Luckily, the week following these photos, the rain cleared a lot of it out (but the smoke is responsible for the grey-ish sky in all of these photos).
