We have switched places–you from Wellesley to the Netherlands and me from the Netherlands to Wellesley! I am SO happy that you are SO happy! I love being able to watch you experience these special moments (and learn from you along the way). Your and Ken’s apartment is so lovely–I loved my little Skype tour.
It has been almost two months since I have written one of these. I had a great trip with my family and Dani (I will be posting all about it on the blog soon) but alas, it had to come to an end and now I am back at Wellesley. I have a lot of mixed emotions about being back at school. I have absolutely loved seeing my friends, meeting new people who joined the organizations I am in while I was gone, remembering how gorgeous Wellesley is and ending long distance (at least for now) with Dani.
However, it hasn’t been a cake walk. Wellesley, as you know, can be a difficult place to be (which is probably why it helps us grow so much!). Now, instead of figuring out weekend travel plans, I am trying to keep up with deadlines and still manage to sleep an okay amount each night. Things went from 0 to 100 really fast and I feel like I am drowning a bit. I was sick for the first two weeks of the semester so I fell quite a bit behind with deadlines and blog work. However, every day it gets easier to get into the routine of things.
I have been taking A LOT of photos lately and it has been such a blast. I am saving my money for a new lens and I can’t wait because I am taking a lot of senior portraits this year! I am also trying to get more involved on campus by going to more on campus events and taking advantage of everything Wellesley has to offer.
Overall, it is good to be back but I definitely left a piece of my heart in Amsterdam (I guess that is a perfect excuse for me to come visit you 😉 )
Love & Liefs,
